Three guesses on who was just tickled to do the album photos:)

I am so lucky to have met John and Libby! What a unique couple they are. It all came about through my good friend and constant inspiration, Catherine Guidry. She was out of town on some amazing architectural photography adventure in California when these guys needed photos, so she entrusted them to me. I told her I would take good care of them. Like a pet.
But we won’t mention pets… because my sister’s fiance still has my fish after baby sitting it last week while i was on vacation. I have my suspicions that he has gone swirling down the whirlpool of death. The fish, not my sister’s fiance. Of course he might get a little taste of that too if he doesn’t confess or return my penelope.

Not only are John and Libby a musical duo, they are also a perfect, perfect couple. I HAD to grab a few couple-ish shots. Couldn’t resist.

Awww.
Also, you may have noticed that it is wet. You are right.
I left my house a little before 5am and don’t remember much between then and the point when my coffee kicked in. But I do remember that I was running on two hours of sleep, and it was raining. Once at Libby’s, we sat in the kitchen a while waiting for the rain to stop… it never did. But it was a ‘lame’ rain, half hearted and more annoying that inconvenient so we opted to head out anyway and take our chances. The car was silent on the way to our location. There is an unmatchable bonding that occurs when you are able to connect through the ‘we-are-all-not-morning-people-silence’. Please never stick me in the car with a chipper person before sunrise.

We hiked a very… long… way…. to our first spot. I had my camera stuffed underneath my shirt most of the time and i’m not sure if the lens ever did de-fog. For those of you familiar with southern louisiana, we never dry out. Even in the sunshine. But this day the atmosphere was the wettest I’ve ever witnessed.
A few awesome shots later, three soaking wet people gathered eagerly around Libby’s kitchen table to check out the results.
It was all totally worth it.
Matter of fact, by noon the same day the photos were done and the album design had been submitted to the printer.
