Sean&Krista | Tulum, Mexico

A little over nine months ago, I get an email from my friend Tara of Tara Marie Photography who was looking for a subcontractor for a destination wedding she had booked for the coming year but would be mysteriously unable to shoot.

We called her out. She was pregnant:) A brand spanking new June Marie Morris checked in just a few weeks ago. Woohoo! I still have yet to meet her. Tara says next time I have to birth a baby and she’ll go to Mexico. I declined.

I do feel like I got the good end of the deal though;)

So I start emailing this mystery bride. It wasn’t long before i realize that I am dealing with a rare specimen of totally-the-coolest-person-ever.  I love Sean and Krista to pieces. Words from me can’t do justice so true to form, here are the pictures to tell the story better than I.

Getting ready at the adorable salon at Dreams Tulum. One of my favorite parts of the day was when the ladies got there to see Krista…

Hazel(Sean’s mom), Cynthia, and Sharron(Krista’s mom). I want to give them all a big hug.

I didn’t even have to have mad photographer skills to capture the happy moments because the entire weekend was smiles all around. These people are genuinely great.

Krista did Sharron’s make up for the big day. She looked fabulous:) Sharron has this thing about her… I could just listen to her talk all day. I miss it!

We found out a fun fact about Sharron- she has never had her toe nails painted! I thought I was unique in that I’ve only once painting my toenails a color. Red. It looked so weird that I took it off after a few hours.

Love love love the details. And the colors. And her nails, now that I notice them. Man they look good!

If you are thinking “Gracious alive, that dress is just exquisite… and breathtakingly gorgeous..” -you are right. Krista emailed me a picture of her Maggie Soterra gown a few months prior, and I was just thrilled out of my mind. Just wait until you see it on;)

Oh right, Krista has to be getting married to someone! Here is Sean:) And check out those shoes. That is how cool he is, for real.

These two were definitely made for each other. I’m not sure how that much awesome will be surviving under one roof, but i’m sure they’ll manage.

Above is Sean’s beautiful sister, Azur-De. I felt an affinity with her as soon as I was told the story of how it took a while for her to ‘approve’ of Krista… yea girl! I felt the same way about my sister’s fiance. Let me tell you, when you’ve got a sister as cool as Amy or a brother as cool as Sean, you’re not going to let just anybody march in and marry them. Well, Krista sure isn’t just ‘anybody’. Nooo way.

Here is the whole group again, if you missed the ‘sneak peak’ post last month. They all came down from various places in the frozen north of Canada. After hanging out with them all weekend hearing stories of the amazing food, berries named after the city(or was the city named after berries?), mooses(BIG ones!) running through town, motorcycle gangs(yea, whatever, so I didn’t know who hell’s angels were), and all sorts of stuff-  it sound kind of exciting. Maybe i’ll get to visit one day. In the summer.

Airing out. These things are important when it is 120 degrees outside. I never really knew the actual temperature, as my dear friends spoke to me in …celsius.

Sean is a photographer as well, and has already scouted some great locations. Score!

After dinner, I performed for everyone. Check out my abs and awesome kick. Just kidding. These guys did a great job;)

Only marginally conspicuous in a wedding dress, Krista was an obvious choice to be pulled on stage…
